Japanese Narrow Lines Half/Half Knob Blue/White

These were created, with a Japanese bowl I bought at dawn at the Tsukiji fish market in Tokyo in mind, and like that bowl, they're simple, timeless yet utterly modern. Notice every brushstroke and the transparency of the blue colour in each of the knobs which are hand-painted, making every one slightly different. Here at Bombay Duck, we pride ourselves on our original handles and knobs, and we design and make every piece to our own specifications. Sometimes the styles are exactly what I have searched for, for my own home and failed to find - so I made them! We use a range of different materials, rough cast metal, thick glossy enamel, brass, palmwood, resin, birch, ceramic and brass, but whatever the material, I keep it simple and sophisticated, and always original.
