Pinwheels Embroidered Pouf Multicoloured

This pattern is called Pinwheels but in fact it resembles an entire herbaceous border of multicolored flowers in lime, emerald, two shades of hot pink, jade, turquoise, lilac, magenta and smoky blue-grey, which almost smother the heavy ivory ground on both the top and sides. I'm really proud of our Indian artisans for creating something so radiantly, colourfully joyous and technically so complicated as this nine-colour embroidery. The fun icing on this exuberant circular pouf is a fringe of pompoms in all nine colours for extra vavavoom. Poufs are always so useful - as somewhere to perch, somewhere to prop up your feet, somewhere to rest a tray, somewhere to dump your files and your coat, somewhere to seat that extra guest...
